After a mediocre, at best, dining experience tonight at a local American-themed restaurant (that used to be James' favourite for birthday celebrations), we finally made it home after a chilly walk, arriving to a flat that hadn't had the heat on in over 24 hours (because the meter card ran out of funds), so we're sitting on a hot water bottle while the radiators chug away pumping water through the system in attempt to cut the chill from the cold winter air...and the camera is all the way over there *points to a spot just out of reach*.
We'll be posting a review of the restaurant in questions, by the way, after our departure from this town, whenever that may be, in order to keep our existence here on the DL (that's Down Low, for those not hip to acronyms). Rest assured it will be in our frank style. We've been known to write rather scathing restaurant reviews.
Anyway. It's been a lovely...couple of days? This was either the second or third day in a row with sunny blue skies, though largely we stayed in the flat yesterday. We're falling into some strange sleep patterns.
Word is we'll be taking a train somewhere soon, so we'll have more to write about then.
This is going to be a long year+ of traveling, promises on the writing picking up once we leave the UK, or at least the general area of where we are. There are promises of European travel, perhaps France for lunch.
Meanwhile, we'd give a finger for a hot shower, it's been two weeks since we had one*. Not one of our fingers, of course.
(*we bathe okay, it's just not as clean feeling...we're a pampered American)
